
Environmental Engineering
Jake is a PhD student in Civil and Environmental Engineering. He received his MS in Bio-Systems and Agricultural Engineering from the University of Kentucky in 2020. His thesis research focused on the evaluation of nanopesticides and their impact on agricultural soil microbial communities. While at Kentucky, Jake was a member of the National Research Traineeship funded by the National Science Foundation. While a part of this organization, Jake participated in interdisciplinary coursework and research projects culminating in the investigation of bio-char usage for sulfate removal from Appalachian stream water bodies. Outside the office, Jake enjoys reading science fiction novels and weight training.
